Deliberate Study

I’m studying Steven Pressfield’s The Artist’s Journey. Not reading, studying. There’s a huge difference between the two.

A couple of days ago I urged you to read more. Now I’m going to up the ante even further. I’m going to suggest that you study. Studying requires us to analyze, reflect and observe.

When we study a novel, we begin to understand what makes it tick. When we study books like The Artist’s Journey, we begin to understand what makes us tick. This understanding is necessary if we are to overcome Resistance and achieve our creative goals.
