Running a business is a lot of work. Writing a novel is a lot of work. It’s no wonder so many writers feel overwhelmed. On any given day, there’s a hundred things demanding our attention. Our todo list is pages long. It’s paralyzing.
The way out of it is to remember that our first priority – always – is to create new work. Before we check our email, or twitter, or consult the list of things that need doing, we write. We’re pros. That’s what pros do.
