An objective evaluation of what works,
and doesn’t work, in your manuscript.
A manuscript evaluation is for writers who have a complete manuscript and a solid understanding of the fundamentals of storytelling.
If you’re getting ready to self-publish your novel, or query an agent, make sure your story works!
There are 48.5 million books on Amazon, so it can be tough to get a new reader’s eyes on your novel. Once you do get them, you’ve got one chance to hook readers so that they buy your book and anticipate your next one. Likewise, you’ve got once chance to query an agent. If an agent passes on your manuscript, even if you’ve spent years writing it, you cannot revise and resubmit.
If you want to sink thousands of dollars marketing an indie book that doesn’t work, or if you want to stuff your rejected manuscript in a drawer, you certainly can. Of course, the other option is to have a professional editor review your work, explain what’s not working and give suggestions for improvements.

If you don’t yet have a solid understanding of storytelling fundamentals, the Developmental Editing package may be a better option for you.

Manuscripts over 120,000 words
Many first-time authors generate projects in this range, however I’m unable to accept them because
to edit them would take too much of my time, and too much of your money.
If your manuscript is more than 120,000 words, I strongly encourage you to get it down to the 80,000-100,000-word range.
Delete irrelevant information, unnecessary backstory and scenes that have nothing to do with your main story and be sure to listen to the Story Nerd Podcast.
